When Alex and Shannon had their engagement photos this winter, I asked them what they were most looking forward to on their wedding day. Alex got the sweetest expression on his face as he answered "seeing her in her dress." That answer made me so excited for their first look because I knew Alex was going to die when he saw his beautiful bride for the first time.
Alex waited in the orchard at Wine Country Inn while Shannon came and tapped him gently on the shoulder. Then the tears were flowing all around (my camera got SOOOO misty) as he took in the beauty of the woman he was about to marry. They kissed and spun and kissed some more, all while wiping the tears from each other's faces.
Their dog Sophie June played a huge part in the day as well and joined them shortly after the first look for some photos of her own with her human mom and dad. She was all ready to play flower dog in her floral crown and looked so proud as she gave Shannon and Alex lots of puppy kisses and posed for photos.
After a few fun bridal party photos, the couple got ready to walk down the aisle with their hand written vows in hand. They exchanged promises and lots more tears which they sweetly wiped off of each other.
Then it was time to explore the vineyard as the sun set over Mt. Garfield on their perfect wedding day before returning to the reception as husband and wife for a romantic first dance and little cake smashing. Shannon had a little surprise up her sleeve along with her garter, and while the groomsmen found themselves getting "iced," the bridal party danced and celebrated this beautiful couple into the night.
