Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved telling stories. I especially love how images can tell an entire story without using a single word. This love led me to study film at the University of Utah, where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Film Studies. From there, I went on to work as a film editor in Salt Lake City for over 10 years, and I won several awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Utah Broadcasters Association. My passion for the visual arts has only grown since I moved to Grand Junction, a place whose beauty inspires me every day.
Carved Tree Photography is about telling stories, but it is mostly about love. Whether is it the luminous love of a newly engaged couple, or the undeniable love between a mother and her unborn child, these are the stories I love to tell. I find the greatest joy in capturing those moments that pass in an instant and making them last for a lifetime.
